Recruit Performance Standards

This is our latest edition (2016) of the Performance Standards Manual that each recruit receives upon entering the Recruit Academy.  These are the standards for many basic firefighter tasks and evolutions, but it does not encompass all skills learned in the academy.  Understand that this is the starting point for these skills.  They are laid out in specific steps in order to teach a recruit with little to no experience, get all recruits on the same page, and then progress their skills from there.

We wanted to provide this manual on our site so that apprentices can refer back to the basic skills if necessary, and so officers and crew members can see what was instructed to their apprentices.
